Intraoperative monitoring has emerged as the 'gold standard' for patients undergoing spinal or neurosurgery procedures. Surgeons, the surgical team and hospital administrators all recognize the need for high quality monitoring. The Xltek® Protektor32 IOM System is designed to provide extremely high quality data under the harshest conditions.
Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) is the application of Sensory and Motor Evoked Potentials (SEP, MEP), Brainstem Evoked Potentials (BAER), Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP), Electromyography (EMG) and quantitative Electroencephalographic (EEG) recording techniques for detecting changes in the functional status of nervous tissue that is "at-risk" for intraoperative iatrogenic injury.
Surgical procedures that need IOM:
Neurosurgery
Orthopedics
ENT
Vascular surgery
Cardiothoracic surgery
Interventional Cardiology
Every Xltek product is the result of an unyielding commitment to quality. Protektor’s high performance and durability are a testament to the many talented engineers, neurophysiologists and technologists that contributed to its design and continuous improvement.
