A continuous wave surgical laser of 2.0 micron wavelength, which is fully absorbed by water. The transmission is done via multiuse, flexible optical fibres, of various dimensions (spot sizes). The system is absolutely safe and extremely selectable to the targeted area with a penetrating depth for vaporization less than 2.0 mm, while at the same time provides full haemostatic effect without necrosis of underlying tissue structures.
The 2.0 micron water absorption of RevoLix JR, triggers directly the vaporization mechanism by targeting the endo-cell water and the optical beam is controllable by the user. The use of flexible silica fibres ensures a wide variety of applications; endoscopic, laparoscopic or external.
